Printmaking Day - Free workshops at mdh Berlin

21.02.2025

Druckwerkstatt Berlin

Around 15 March, artists, printing workshops, museums, universities, art associations and other stakeholders can show how vibrant the art of printing is: from traditional techniques to experimental printmaking.

The background to this is that on 15 March 2018, traditional printing techniques were added to the nationwide list of intangible cultural heritage by the German UNESCO Commission.

A day to celebrate, we think! Numerous events are taking place throughout Germany and even in neighbouring European countries to mark this day, impressively demonstrating just how vibrant this cultural heritage is!

The workshops at the Mediadesign Hochschule in Berlin will also be giving an introduction to letterpress and screen printing techniques on 14 March. Anyone who would like to get an overview of the university and, above all, the workshops and gain their first printing experience is cordially invited to the free 4-hour workshops in the letterpress and screen printing workshops.

14 March 2025, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

(A donation of materials is requested)

For all mdh students, there is also the possibility of an introduction to both workshops outside of this date, please contact us at our e-mail addresses:

Letterpress: s.sundermann@mediadesign.de

Screen printing: kawylezol@mediadesign.de

We look forward to a lively participation and a creative exchange with all print and design enthusiasts.
